Thankfully, touch wood (and yes, I did just tap my head) I've not had this kind of response though I've often imagined using a question like "Well what won't you get if I don't?" - That'll get their beautiful minds into a little confusion.  If you're lucky/brilliant you can throw some suggestion in during that confused state, lead them into their answer. I'll have a bit more of a think about this one.

While we're on the subject, the most resistance I've encountered was a colleague who was very apprehensive about the nature of coaching, he didn't feel comfortable about "opening up" (his words), certainly about the higher logical levels.  Luckily for me I'd been reading Erickson that morning and used his Encouraging Resistance idea - "I know there's things you won't want to discuss, that you won't want me to know about and that's fine.  Let's just discuss what you are happy to talk about" - We started discussing pretty simple capability and behavioural (in terms of logical levels) stuff and soon ramped up to beliefs and identities.
The idea being (for those unfamiliar with Encouraging Resistance), that by giving permission to withold information/topics that each time you lead the conversation they will say to themselves "Well this is ok to talk about, it's not a big deal, I can withold more important stuff later" and you find that this happens each time and before you know it they're really not witholding anything at all.

How about this one from Landmarc coaches '' I dont think were ready for this here yet''
This one from TJ'' Dont make change as easy as you feel the value you get from it''
And from TR '' Dont think change is going to be easy''
And My favourite '' I dont think/know if  were/your ready for coaching yet''

seeing as it has been a while since I was on here I thought it was about time I contributed!

"Your absolutely right, I'm not here to coach you yet. At the moment I just want to find out why you come to work and the bits you find frustrating and see whether there is anything I can do do help"

'I don't suggest that you would want to be coached, but i would just like to have a chat so we can get to know each other a little.' seems like a pretty reasonable one to me. a bit like Mr Sillett 'Don't suggest you take this home and try on your kids' nudge nudge wink wink etc
